My client is a part of one of the UKs largest food manufacturers and are now looking for an experienced HR Officer to join their small HR team at a production site in Derbyshire.
You will become the third member of the HR team and will report into the HRM as well as being able to support them in their role. The role itself will involve all generalist HR support to around 250 employees during peak times.
You will be involved in ER issues such as disciplinaries, grievance and performance management as well as monitoring absence and sickness. You will also manage any long term sick cases as well as being heavily involved in training and development for the site. You will also liaise with the appointed college to ensure training such as NVQs right up to MSc are available to staff and also support permanent recruitment.
You will take a proactive approach to HR and become a visible face on the shop floor. This role would ideally suit someone who is looking to progress their HR career up to manager level. The organisation heavily promotes internal promotion and there is likely to be oppourtunties in the future.
You will need to have generalist HR experience from a FMCG environment, ideally food or other manufacturing. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified but my client will support candidates who are currently studying and funding is likely to be available.
