A rare opportunity has arisen within one of the UKs leading engineering firms, for an industry experienced Account Manager.
The company deal with blue chip companies across Europe and the USA, and hold an extremely high reputation in the market.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the engineering/manufacturing market.
You will be reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, and you will be responsible for all the day-to-day logistical aspects of the customer accounts specified.
You will be responsible for the following -
·1 To be the primary logistics and planning interface between the customer and the organisation.
·2 To manage the receipt, analysis and processing of customer schedules. To include analysis of net changes, liaising with the customer where necessary, inputting schedules into Tropos and responding to the customer with delivery promises.
·3 At the request of the Commercial function, contribute to the preparation and management of new product implementation plans.
·4 To monitor and report on delivery performance and to escalate delivery issues to the customer against agreed delivery promises.
·5 To communicate deliveries and provide regular status reports to the customer.
·6 Work closely with the Materials Buyer to ensure purchase orders are placed for raw material, ensuring deliveries are met.
·7 Work with planning, production, and technical departments to manage delivery of customer requirements.
·8 Meet, and exceed wherever possible, the defined levels of customer service.
·9 To be flexible and support colleagues on other account or raw material issues as necessary.
·10 To work closely with the Logistics and Planning team to ensure the correct loading of the production areas, releasing raw material as and when required.
·11 To work closely with the Customer Service Manager and Supply Chain Director on projects to improve departmental performance including system
The successful canidate will have a minimum 2 years previous experience in Customer Service Role within an Engineering or Industrial environment and preferably speak a 2nd language although this is not essential.
