    My client in DE21 are currently recruiting for a Sales Consultant to join their expanding team.

    The role:-

    To work with the external sales account manager and the Regional Director to achieve the annual regional sales plan. The successful candidate will support the regional external account manager through organisation of campaigns, promotions, events and appointment setting.

    The majority of your time will be spent on the phone making appointments for the external sales staff as well as completing sales and establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with potential customers. You will also build relationships and arrange appointments with existing clients.

    • To increase the growth rate of new business through regular and proactive contact with new customers to generate leads and interest in attending sales events
    • Take ownership for the progression and closing of new sales, either as part of the team process or individually
    • To work with the external sales team and other departments (marketing, training) to achieve the sales targets for the area
    • Prepare quotations and supporting documentation, generated from the contact – reactive or proactive
    • To input marketing and sales activity for the region in the CRM database
    • Contribute to the sales forecast and assist other members of the team to provide accurate forecasting information
    • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with Schools within the sales area
    Maximise where possible further sales opportunities within the existing client base


    The successful candidate:-

    • Experience of similar office based sales roles (cold calling) covering both proactive and reactive selling, including objection handling and closing skills
    • Good knowledge of English, grammar, spelling and electronic communications
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C or equivalent
    • Degree Desirable
    • Planning and organising skills
    • Detailed Data Entry in Maximiser
    • Good sales skills
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Influencing and negotiation skills

    The hours:-

    37 hours per week
