This client is the Europe's fastest growing full service airline and has already established itself as a prestigious major player in the UK airline business. From their UK hubs, they operate services in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, USA and the Caribbean.
Their passenger reach is further extended by being of the member a Star Alliance, a grouping of 17 international airlines offering customers a worldwide network and a smooth integrated travel experience.
Due to vast expansion of their world wide route network they now have an opening for a interline development manager, for their offices based near East Midlands Airport.
The purpose of the position is working within the airlines interline and codeshare team, this position will be key to managing the development of the business with other airlines
Duties.
Identify opportunities to increase UK sales with other airlines
Assist with the negotiation of codeshare agreements
Work closely within the interline team to negotiate core and tactical agreements with other carriers
Negotiating and liasing with UK/International sales regarding codeshare and inter airline settlement agreements
Management of other carrier relationships
What we're looking For
Applicants should be enthusiastic team members, who are commercially aware and have a positive attitude with a 'can do approach'. It is essential to be able to make decisions and adopt a well-organised, logical approach whilst working in a target orientated and deadline driven environment. You will be required to have a good commercial aptitude, with well-developed negotiation skills being essential. Previous experience in a commercial/sales environment would be an advantage
Skills and Education Required
Candidates should be educated to degree standard, or equivalent, should be able to demonstrate excellent business development skills, be able to prioritise workload without direction and be an effective decision-maker. Candidates will also be expected to show considerable commercial acumen and work well under pressure. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential. Previous experience in a commercial/sales environment would be an advantage.
