Job responsibilities
Our client is after a mechanical design engineer to work as a part of the design team, designing and developing a market-leading range of equipment for the construction, mining, recycling and heavy duty industry environment.
The direction of this role will be largely influenced by the attributes and aspirations of the successful candidate, which could result in this person becoming a particular product line specialist if that suited.
You would be reporting to the design engineering manager, taking well researched information from the market which will drive the products that you design and develop. No two days are ever the same with this 'cradle to grave' engineering role in which you would be involved with the on-site production and manufacturing team in order to help take your design from concept through to the finish product.
The South Derbyshire plant became part of the group midway through last year, therefore the engineering team, along with the rest of the workforce, are going through an exciting period of change and increasing opportunity.
