To assist Finance Manager in reviewing Area business reports and analysis and proactively identifying opportunities for cost reduction and/or revenue enhancement and business performance improvement.
Responsible for deputising in the absence of the Finance Manager. Assist the FM and be involved in forecasting, budgeting, business analysis & month end reporting.
- Develop effective relationships with operational business management.
Gain a clear and detailed understanding of the Area business operations
- Use analytical skills to identify proactive opportunities for cost reduction and/or revenue enhancement and performance improvement
- With FM support, recommend management action to the business to realise these opportunities
- Reviewing and producing the month end reports and analysis, including commentary
Present monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and analyses to the business
- Assist FM with investment appraisals, capital projects, mergers & acquisitions etc.
- Undertake requests for ad hoc business analysis
- Assist in the definition and adoption of best accounting practice
- Ensure the business understands and complies with accounting policies & regulations
