NCH makes a real difference to the lives of over 178,000 vulnerable children, young people and their families. Derbyshire Family Mediation and Children’s Support Service aim to improve outcomes for children by reducing the impact of conflict. This is done by family mediation, individual work with children and parenting education, and we are also developing a supervised contact scheme in conjunction with CAFCASS.
Supporting the Project Manager, this role will be an exciting mix of development, supporting staff and some face-to-face work. A good understanding and some experience of the impact of divorce and separation on children are essential, along with a DipSW or equivalent, and preferably a mediator qualification. Excellent communication skills and some experience of partnership working with other agencies are also required.
