QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician within our Filling & Packing department, with a start date asap.
We are looking for candidates with either a HNC, HND, Graduate Calibre and/or relevant experience within food manufacturing. Alongside the routine online production quality checks, the role is audit focused and the successful candidate will be involved in Supplier Auditing, internal Auditing and retail quality audits.
The salary is circa £20000 p.a. this is a day position working Monday - Friday with occasional weekend working, the hours will be 07.30 - 16.30 with the benefits of flex-time (able to take up to 6 days additional leave), 25 days annual leave and a contributory final salary pension scheme
This is a great opportunity that has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician within our Filling & Packing department. The position will require the co-ordination of the day-to-day operations of the relevant quality systems, ensuring product and process conformance prior to final release to protect the brand.
Reporting to the Conformance Manager you will be a proactive and responsible individual with drive, enthusiasm and an ability to focus on detail. You will work on days to support the running of the Filling & Packing department.
The main purpose of this role is to work with the operational teams to co-ordinate activities to maintain and improve the quality of our products. This will involve calibrating all test equipment and carrying out product evaluation to ensure all quality and legal requirements are met. The role will also involve working with suppliers to communicate issues and develop improvements and to audit supplier operations to ensure standards are met.
The role requires an influential team player who will have the confidence to implement and sustain systems that will improve quality and hygiene. A good standard of numeracy and literacy is expected, as well as knowledge of computer systems (Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP). The ability to work in a team, communicate with people at all levels, problem-solve and work on own initiative are essential attributes.
